Missing Daddy

As some of you know, Jim's working on a new project at work. This is the second week in a row that he is working very long (12+) hours. Needless to say, it is a major adjustment for all of us. He is barely getting home in time to kiss the kids goodnight, and on some days he misses them, completely. Speaking of "missing", we miss him a lot, too. The older ones talk about the situation frequently, and we are getting more tear-bursts these days. And then there is Thomas. He's not much of a talker, in fact he doesn't talk, at all. But, you can see how much he misses Jim, by the way he gets so excited to see him, and then he won't leave his side. Today, he did something really cute. I have been trying to put photos in an album (I am up to Aug. 2008... I have a ways to go). Anyhow, he sees the album, climbs on a chair, and starts looking through it. He stopped on a page, became very animated, and starts pointing. He was pointing to a close-up photo of himself and Jim. After he found that, he wasn't interested in looking at the rest of the book. Many hours later, he found the book, again, immediately found that picture to study it, and showed everyone.
